Carbon Crush is finally open....

and massive thanks go out to the customers, friends and family who have supported Carbon Crush over it's first 2 days of trading... the support has been amazing and we can't wait to be your local cafe... Opening up in Brisbane has been a fantastic experience for us and we are grateful for the opportunity to share a dream and passion with the local community.

We will always try to source the best ingredients, and wherever possible source organic.. this week we have managed to get in a number of fresh organic ingredients including our milk, butter, yoghurt, feta, cheddar, beetroot, cabbage, flour, apples, oranges, tomatoes, herbs, lettuce, butternut, sourdough, spinach, sultanas, almonds, pumpkin seeds, eggs, honey

The best sellers over the last couple of days were our coffee, frappe's, smoothies, organic sourdough sandwiches.  We hope that you'll all try our vibrant salads,

Tomorrow :

•  we're opening with two fruit salads, organic Barambagh yoghurt and homemade granola
•  serving roasted butternut, lentil salad and a cous-cous salad for lunch
•  baking beetroot and cocoa muffins, spinach & cheese muffins & banana bread
•  serving organic sourdough sandwiches with beautiful fillings
•  frappe of the day will be passionfruit
•  smoothie of the day will be our dairy-free mocha shake (with almond or soy milk)

Carbon Crush starts to take shape...

A lot of hard work has gone in to preparing the reclaimed timber we have acquired, in to a usable point of sale unit and other furnishing.  Our second hand equipment has arrived too so most of the large puzzle pieces are in.  We've enlisted even the youngest members of our family to assist....

We're still working hard to get the shop open and hope to be up and running by the end of this month.  Carbon Crush is taking shape, but we're still baking... and the inside is still a little under-cooked.

We're in.....

This morning we pick up the keys to our new shop.  Imagine the excitement!  Thank you all for your support so far.  We have now set up a Facebook page and look forward to sharing our journey  with our new found community, our friends, family and colleagues.

Who we are...

From left to right - Rob Bruce (Bo Bo), Lee Bruce (Bruce Lee), Duncan Bruce (Punky).  Rob & Duncan were born in Takapuna, New Zealand on the same fine day and Lee grew up in Cape Town, South Africa.  Lee & Duncan are married and have two young boys.  We all live in the beautiful city of Brisbane in sunny Queensland Australia.  We Carbon Crushers... are passionate about being a healthy family, we appreciate the need for healthy options and want our family business to be a daily talking point.  We want the local community to consider Carbon Crush their healthy destination...
